INDECO – HOMEWARE & KITCHENWARE DESIGNERS

indeco-patrick-senior-001

P atrick and Mieke Senior Loncin established indeco in 1992 from Patrick’s desire to bring his own designs to the market place. INDECO is a contraction of INnovative DEsign COmpany.

Indeco is a partnership with Mieke as manager/marketer/promoter leaving Patrick to design and make. The indeco business is located at an idyllic spot on the West Tamar at Swan Point, Tasmania.

Patrick strives for a simple elegance to his unique and innovative home-ware designs.

Preferring timbers with subtle colours and grain patterns thus, hopefully, allowing the overall design to shine through unhindered by unnecessary ornamentation or detail. Huon pine is a natural choice here.

These traits are best exemplified in the ladles, ‘plat à beurre’ butter plate, ‘ovaloid’ salt/pepper/spice mill and the salt cellars together with the ‘cubist‘ salt/pepper/spice mill

A phrase used to describe Patrick’s work is : beautifully simple; simply beautiful.

Patrick is proud to say that a number of his products have been acquired by the prestigious Tasmanian Wood Design Collection starting with the soup and sauce ladles in 1993, salad servers and bookends 1995, ’cubist’ mill with salt cellar 1999, ‘rocket’ mills 2006 and the wonderful ‘Meg’s mill’ nutmeg mill in 2008.
